Couples counseling is designed to help you and your partner improve communication, increase intimacy, gain new perspectives, work through conflict, and ultimately strengthen your relationship
Individual counseling is a collaborative and confidential process that promotes self-awareness, emotional well-being, and the development of practical tools for coping with life's challenges.
I work with couples around issues related to communication, intimacy, and trust, bringing forth an awareness, clarity, and tools to help determine and support the best path forward.
Additionally, I work with individuals experiencing the thoughts and emotions associated with the stress and uncertainty related to new health diagnoses, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and loss.
With over two decades of experience, I offer the framework, skills, and understanding needed to assist clients through diverse life challenges, promoting balance and personal growth. I use an integrative approach, drawing from various therapeutic modalities and techniques.
I value a strong therapeutic relationship built upon trust, open communication, and collaboration. My goal is to guide you in cultivating a more meaningful and kind self-understanding by helping you explore the underlying causes of your challenges and empowering you to move towards change. I am here to support you through your journey, equipped with insight, tools, and the belief that change is possible.
I am a native New Englander originally from the North Country of New Hampshire. In 2001, after several years in Boston and later Philadelphia, I returned back to New England, settling in Maine. Though I love the Maine Coast, I could surely do without the snow!
When I am not working, I enjoy laughing with my husband of 25 years, hanging with my two (young) adult children (on their terms of course), and wrangling my two neurotic dogs. Some favorite hobbies include keeping my many houseplants alive, spending time in the outdoors, and finding cute shops that have great coffee, plants, and coffee cake.

Similar to a seedling developing its first true leaf, therapy can be seen as a process of growth and discovery. You can explore new ways of thinking, feeling, and being. Even in the most difficult of times, people have an amazing capacity to grow, connect, and find meaning.
